Hi! I am Kerry and I am a 4th grade teacher. I have been teaching for 21 years all at the same school! I know... I am so fortunate! I began my career teaching a multi-age class of 4/5 graders, then when we had to split I became just 4th grade. I have made some wonderful friends. My colleagues/teammates have been working together for 19 years. We are definitely like family and that makes work all that much more fun!
I love working with my 4th graders. Each year brings new learning, fun, and challenges!
For the past two years, I have taught mainly ELA with Social Studies content. I love watching the students grow in their reading and writing!
I have two of my own children (a son and a daughter) and boy have they grown fast! I have learned so much about teaching, just from watching my own children go through their schooling and also from what I expect as a parent from the school. I know this has helped me become the teacher I am today, and continues influencing the teacher I will be tomorrow!
We have one dog (don’t tell my husband I am sharing this…) But she is a cutie. Her name is Luna. We have had her since she was a puppy and she is definitely the baby of the family.
